Some days it feels great to relive a moment or a time from your past. A simple pic shared on your school group brings back memories from an era gone by.
It is a good reminder of who I used to be and where I stand today. Most of us have become better versions of ourselves from decades ago. Haven’t we?
The past seems like a more peaceful time though. Not because the world was a better place. Simply because we are younger, with fewer or no responsibilities. And pretty raw. We were at the cusp of adulthood, desperate to grow quickly, find love, thrive at a career, grow rich and do all those things we dreamed about.
And thirty years from that space, where are we? Where do you find urself? I can speak for myself. I have discovered that I have always had what I needed. most other things were desires that came from societal conditioning.
It odd great to have desires and fulfill them. As long as there is no attachment. Meaning, you feel the same in the event the desire fulfills itself or stays unrealised. But it’s the fulfilment of one desire leads to another and another and your happiness is at stake, lest every single one get fulfilled, that’s the biggest of all problems.
P.S. it is importance to trace your growth trajectory, not just materially, but more so, spiritually. Letting go is an art. Whether it is thoughts, feelings, emotions or things and people, clinging to anything or anyone Foresque more harm than good. At best, it is great to make a wish and let go.
