I am ten minutes too late tonight. But some evenings are spent visiting friends, Golu hopping.

A part of the Navratri festival I never knew existed, until I landed in Singapore and made Tamil friends.

Love the idea of displaying stories of Gods through a placement of smaller idols in the form of dolls on steps. Some families add a new doll every year. Another part of the display is creating scenes from daily lives. It is all a creative ensemble of tradition mixed with inviting friends over, exchanging gifts and feasting.

P.S. I love all Indian festivals, the meaning behind them and the way they have been created to form bonds of friendship.
